HOSA INTRODUCES NEW HDMI CABLES FOR HOME THEATER / VIDEO APPLICATIONS

hosa_hdmi_lo.JPGBuena Park, CA – August 2008… Hosa Technology, the leading innovator of analog and digital connectivity solutions, is pleased to introduce its new HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) cable offerings. Supporting all current HD formats up to 1080P and all current surround sound formats up to 7.1, the new cables are the best possible solution for transmitting uncompressed digital streams and include models for HDMI to DVI-D.

All Hosa HDMI cables offer 10.2 Gbps bandwidth for uncompressed high-definition video and multichannel audio transmission and are HDMI 1.3b Category 2 certified for guaranteed compatibility with the next generation of HDMI formats. This makes them the perfect choice for use interconnecting AV system components including cable/satellite receivers/DVRs, DVD and Blu-Ray disc players, AV receivers, game consoles and, of course, HD video displays.

All Hosa HDMI cables are constructed with the finest materials to help ensure the world-class performance attributes all Hosa products are known for. This includes gold-plated HDMI Type A connectors for superior signal transfer and Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) conductors for enhanced conductivity, thus minimizing signal attenuation. All Hosa HDMI cables provide OFC braided and Al-Mylar shielding. This combination of superior shielding materials provides complete EMI and RFI rejection. Similarly, these cables incorporate air-injected dielectrics for consistent cable geometry to minimize signal reflections.

Hosa’s HDMI to DVI-D cables (HDMD models) provide backward compatibility with all DVI-D devices. Like the HDMI models, HDMD models are available in lengths up to 50 feet and include Hosa’s limited lifetime warranty for peace of mind. Hosa will repair or replace the cable for the lifetime of the original purchaser.

Jonathan Pusey, Hosa Technology’s National Marketing Manager, commented on the company’s new HDMI cables. “Hosa’s new HDMI cables enable today’s AV systems to deliver superior performance for both video and audio,? said Pusey. “Our cables conform to the highest HDMI specification and, as a result, customers can be assured the best possible performance from their AV system components. Combining state-of-the-art manufacturing processes with top-quality materials and the finest warranty in the industry, I believe our customers will find much to like.?

Hosa’s new HDMI cables range in price from an MSRP of $34.80 (for a 3-foot length) through $324 (for a 50-foot length). The cables are available now.
