HDMI Distribution/Extension over CAT-5 Cables

CHATSWORTH, CA – Ease, convenience, and high quality signal delivery combine to make the new Gefen 1:5 Splitter for HDMI over CAT-5 a key solution for integrators today.

The rack-mountable unit performs two functions, allowing any HDMI source signal to be split and delivered to five displays simultaneously. It can also extend four displays up to 45 meters (150-feet) over CAT-5 cables. At this distance, 1080p full HD is delivered instantly using the standard cabling; resolutions up to 1080i can be extended even further to 90 meters (300-feet). Users can also connect five displays locally using standard HDMI cables, or extend just one, two, three or four displays as needed. Both video and audio are transmitted over the same two CAT-5 cables allowing for a simple method of extension.

Gefen’s 1:5 Splitter for HDMI over CAT-5 (MSRP $2249) works with all of today’s HDMI devices, including gaming systems, set-top boxes, Blu-ray players and more.

Similar products include the 1:4 HDMI over CAT-5 Distribution Amplifier, the 4×4 HDMI over CAT-5 Matrix/Switcher and the 1:8 HDMI over CAT-5 Distribution Amplifier.
