Alcorn McBride to showcase Digital Binloop with CobraNet at AES

alcorn-mcbride-digital-binloop-32.jpgAES 2008, San Francisco, booth 626 — Alcorn McBride will demonstrate its Digital Binloop, the industry standard for theme park audio reproduction, at the fall AES show. The Digital Binloop provides up to 32 tracks of 16 or 24-bit WAV or AIFF files at up to 96 kHz, or up to 16 channels of MPEG-2 video at up to 15 Mbps. Audio or video clips are stored on Compact Flash media; each card can hold hours of audio. Each Digital Binloop accommodates up to 16 reproducer cards. Mono audio files can be independently assigned to the left and right channels of each reproducer, giving the user 32 completely independent tracks. A CobraNet® interface option allows users to easily interface the product with networked audio systems.

“With no moving parts to wear out, the Digital Binloop can provide years of trouble-free service,? said Jeremy Scheinberg, Alcorn McBride’s Chief Operating Officer. “And, when you combine the 32 channels of synchronized or independent audio with the CobraNet networked audio interface, you have an elegant playback and distribution system for any application.?
