POWERSOFT GOES TO SEA
Working with its Finnish Partner Electrosonic Lightinen, Powersoft now includes marine installations among its more significant accomplishments.
This team effort resulted in the installation of 20 Powersoft amps in the M/S Color Magic, completed in September 2007 and launched at the end of last year.
Specifically, the ship’s luxurious Show Lounge included four K6, four K8 and four Q4002 amps with power control cards powering EAW KF730P Line Array speakers as well as SB730P Subwoofer, MK8196 Delay Speakers, ML2396 Monitors for the dancing area as well as SM129ZI Stage Monitors.
On the Promenade deck, there are three Powersoft Q3204s and five Q4002s, each with power control cards in conjunction with EAW cabinets as well.
This second ship with Powersoft amplification is the Tallink Galaxy whose maiden voyage was in 2006. This installation features a total of 33 Powersoft amplifiers including the D, Digam, Q and K Series powering a variety of EAW speakers in the Dancing and Irish Pubs, Disco, Conference areas.
Based on the exceptionally effectiveness and eco-friendly “Green Power” operation of the Powersoft digital amplification platform, new orders for K, Q, D and Digam series have already been placed for Tallink Galaxy II, which is currently under construction.
