GEPCO FEATURES X-BAND AUDIO CABLES AT AES 2008
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Gepco International, Inc., an industry leader in the manufacturing and distribution of quality professional audio and video cables, will be featuring its complete line of X-Band audio cables at AES 2008 (Booth 1316). Ideal for studio, live-sound and broadcast applications, X-band cables feature an extra-flexible, low-noise design, making them ideal for critical audio applications.
Sonically transparent, X-Band cables have a wide frequency response and exceptional RF/EMI noise rejection. This performance is achieved by cabling the pairs with a tight and precise twist and by utilizing a video-grade foam dielectric that significantly reduces the capacitance. X-Band conductors are made from finely-stranded, oxygen-free copper to maximize conductivity and protect against corrosion. Each pair is shielded with a dense 95% copper braid to provide additional noise rejection and are also available in dual-shield versions.
To attain the resiliency and durability for which X-Band is known, the cables feature Gepco’s G-Flex jacket compound. Combined with the core elements of the cable, this compound offers additional flaccidity and flex-life to the cable.
“With its outstanding noise rejection, wide bandwidth and flexible construction, X-Band is the benchmark for high performance balanced audio interconnects, says Scott Fehl, Gepco’s product development and marketing manager. “As with other Gepco single-pair products, X-Band is also exceptionally easy to strip and terminate, thereby simplifying and reducing installation time
