SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA: The International Audio Summit, to be held in Santa Monica from November 17-19, is destined to become the place to be for technical decision makers involved in broadcasting, movies and audio. This unique conference covers new technologies in acquiring and sharing information and trends in audio and video production. Speakers from industry, science and trade associations will lecture on topics such as new formats for production and broadcast, audience involvement via innovative audio applications and new wireless communication systems in broadcast centers. A variety of workshops will take an in-depth look at important issues surrounding new production and broadcasting formats, next generation technologies, and audio for sports productions. The summit is organized by the Sennheiser Sound Academy.

The speakers include two leaders from the German broadcast industry, Herbert Tillmann, technical director of Bayerischer Rundfunk and chairman of the production and technology commission for ARD and ZDF and Prof. Dr. Martin Koch, Terahertz Systems Engineering, Technical University of Braunschweig. From the U.S., the speakers are Tom Sahara, senior director of remote operations and IT for Turner Sports and Tomlinson Holman, School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California. And finally from Geneva, Switzerland, Chairman of the International Audio Summit, Philip Laven who is chairman of DVB Project.

The Audio Summit is supported and advised by a top-class panel: Jim Anderson, president of the Audio Engineering Society (AES) and professor of recorded music at New York University, Roger Furness, executive director of AES, and Philip Laven, chairman of the DVB consortium DVB Project.
