HaiVision WFX Show Preview

2008 WFX Show Preview
HaiVision
Booth 541

Company Overview:
HaiVision Systems Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer of performance H.264 video encoding solutions for HD and SD. HaiVision supplies to top TelePresence companies, broadcasters, medical companies, and audio-visual systems integrators with interactive video and performance streaming products. HaiVision has achieved the majority market share in the TelePresence sector and has products with almost 10 years of continuous service in large telecom-style deployments. HaiVision focuses on multi-stream product solutions that operate with the lowest end–to-end latencies available with the highest picture quality. HaiVision’s products are designed as fully embedded systems achieving telecom grade reliability.

Hai1000 TelePresence Codec
HaiVision’s hai1000 TelePresence codec delivers connected high-definition communications that allow for emotional interaction amongst church campuses. Using performance networks and the lowest latency 1080p multi-stream codecs available, churches can now expand their presence in a very compelling way — unlike what is offered by other technologies such as satellite or best-effort devices.

With the compatibilities of high-performance H.264 video compression, church groups can address simultaneously real-time collaboration, video distribution to set-top boxes, Internet streaming through Flash servers, and even video podcasts.

MAKO-HD
The MAKO-HD codec for the hai1000 provides 70-millisecond end-to-end latency for high-definition H.264 up to 1080p, as well as WXGA full-frame-rate transmission (for computer sources) and HiLo streaming (especially useful for sending both high-definition and low-resolution video from the same source).
