Lutron Electronics Takes a Bite Out of the Big Apple, Announces Future Home of Fourth Experience Center
Coopersburg, PA (October 27, 2008) – Lighting control manufacturer Lutron Electronics announced today that it has broken ground on its fourth Experience Center, which will open in the heart of midtown Manhattan in early 2009.
The new, 1,800 square-foot Experience Center will be located on the ground floor of the Decoration & Design (D&D) Building, located at 979 Third Avenue.
The Manhattan location will feature a variety of Lutron’s residential products showcased in space typical of New York City living. In addition to bedroom, kitchen and media/family room vignettes, a showroom and design center will give clients the opportunity to view a wide variety of product colors, finishes, sustainable lighting control options and shade fabrics.
Lutron Experience Centers offer system designers, architects, interior designers and their clients the opportunity to experience the energy savings and elegance of Lutron products in a home-like setting.
The Manhattan location marks the company’s fourth Experience Center. Other locations include Irvine, California (in the heart of Orange County); and Coopersburg, Pennsylvania (at the company’s world headquarters). The company’s first Experience Center, which opened in 2001, is located in Plantation, Florida.
