Capitol Sales Hosts Seminar on Universal Remote Control’s Latest Two-Way Touch Screen Remote

LONG BEACH, Calif., Nov. 7, 2008—Capitol Sales Company is hosting a one-day seminar for experienced custom installation professionals who will learn hands-on programming of the new MX-6000 color touch-screen remote control. The seminar will be held on Nov. 13 at the company’s headquarters office in Eagan, Minn. The device was recently introduced by Universal Remote Control®, Inc. at the CEDIA EXPO in Denver. Known as a world leader in the custom design, engineering, manufacturing and distribution of high-quality remote controls and home automation products, Universal Remote is located in Harrison, N.Y.
“Bringing simplicity and automation to home entertainment, the new controller embraces digital media in a unique and powerful new way,? said Jon Sienkiewicz, director of marketing for Universal Remote Control. The MX-6000 provides homeowners control of components in their home theater system, as well as media on PCs, iPods and other content storage devices in the home.

The MX-6000 has been designed with multiple features and customer benefits that installers will learn about during the seminar. For example, this is the first home theater remote control to offer two independent communications and control methods—WiFi and RF—to simultaneously control A/V equipment. It also provides access to the Internet, the ability to build and display slide shows and the capability to turn an iPod music player into a personal A/V server. Design features include the capability to seamlessly integrate with Lutron’s product line, providing automated lighting control.

This free training class will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Capitol Sales Learning Institute – On Campus and will provide in-depth education on MX-6000 product features and programming. Attendees will receive purchase discounts on Universal Remote Control products and be eligible for door prizes.

“This course is one more great opportunity for our installers to enhance the value they provide to homeowners with unique solutions and increase their revenue,? said Curt Hayes, President and Chief Financial Officer.
