Intended to provide A/V and digital signage specialists with a convenient way to narrowcast VGA and audio content to remote locations at distances of up to 300m / 950’, the VGA extension system also eliminates cost and reduces cable clutter by using Cat 5 Cables
“The popularity of VGA Cat 5 extension products has increased significantly over the past few years as it is a cost-effective and simple method for video distribution and digital signage applications� says John Mardinly, Product Manager for StarTech.com. “The need for a VGA and audio Cat 5 extender was clear, and we decided to launch a four port, 8 port, long range receiver and a line splitter. The line splitter allows up to 16 displays for the 4 port model, and 32 displays on the 8 port model�.
