Listen Technologies Trick or Treats for the Utah Food Bank
Listen Technologies Corporation held its second annual Trick or Treat food drive, collecting over 1,300 items of food for the Utah Food Bank.
Utah is ranked 5th in the nation for the highest rate of food insecurity. The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Household Food Security reports that more than 345,700 individuals are at risk of missing or skipping a meal due to a lack of resources. The Utah Food Bank supplies food to those in need throughout the year. Listen started holding a Trick or Treat food drive during the month of October to help ensure the food bank will have enough food to give to those in need during the holiday season.
The food collected will be used to help those individuals and families in Utah who need food assistance. With the present economy the Utah Food Bank was very grateful for this donation. “Our employees were excited to donate this year, says Kim Peterson, the organizer of the event, “We know there are a lot of families in need of food this year, and we hope that what we contributed will be able to help. Listen Technologies would like to encourage those who have the means, to volunteer or donate what food you can to help your local food bank serve all those in need.
