Long Beach City CollegeLONG BEACH, CA – Recording and engineering students in the Department of Music, TV and Radio at Long Beach City College (LBCC) get first-hand lessons in soldering and audio cable construction from Neutrik USA, designer and manufacturer of the X and XX series XLR cable connectors. The company has supplied several of its NC3MX and NC3FX connectors to the school for use in its ongoing Studio Maintenance course, included in the two-year program curriculum.

“It was exciting to see the students talk and show pride in their skills and craftsmanship in our recent classes, after using the newly acquired technical skills to assemble XLR microphone cables in the morning Maintenance class and then using these working cables in the Recording class later that afternoon,? says Charles Gutierrez, college instructor of recording and engineering at Long Beach City College. “As the instructor, I can tell the students felt a sense of ownership and responsibility toward the equipment that was not there prior.?
