Elite’s new acoustically transparent projection screen material has extremely small 0.25mm perforations that act as a sieve for sound waves to penetrate. It maximizes sound penetration while controlling the size and frequency of sonic passages. The passages are as small as possible to allow sound through while reducing moiré, a common visual artifact caused by digital projection pixels overlapping with the holes on a perforated screen.

Elite’s AcouticPro 1080p material has a 1.0 gain matte woven square mesh that damps only 2.0 dB at 20 KHz for pure, clean and outstanding sound quality. The side-weave mesh pattern has only an eight percent light loss, and its coated fabric provides true color reproduction to ensure both audio and video quality with each 1080 movie or presentation.

Elite’s AcousticPro1080p woven material is available in sizes between 72 inches to 180 inches and has a viewing angle of 160° so all audience members see a clear, bright projected image.

Elite Screens’ AcousticPro1080p material is available now, made for its EZ-Frame, Elite PrimeVision, VMAX2, Home2, Home3, CineTension2 and CineTension3 retractable projection screens with prices starting at $806. These screens come with Elite’s minimum two-year manufacturer’s warranty, which is twice the industry standard.
