AKG Debuts New WMS 40 Pro Wireless Frequencies To Comply With New FCC Regulations

To address the recently enacted FCC regulations, AKG announced the immediate availability of new frequencies for its popular WMS 40 PRO Series wireless systems. All of WMS 40 PRO’s new 660-MHz range frequencies are compliant with regulations that the FCC enacted on August 15th, which will take effect when the transition period to DTV broadcast ends on February 17, 2009.

AKG’s WMS 40 PRO wireless systems are targeted towards budget-conscious wireless users who want excellent performance coupled with simple operation. The WMS 40 PRO wireless system is available in three series of models: FLEXX are frequency-selectable diversity systems; DUAL systems combine two fixed-frequency systems in a single ½-rack receiver; PRO are high-performance, cost-effective fixed-frequency systems. Each series is available in handheld, lavalier, head-worn and instrument configurations. All of the new frequencies will deliver intermodulation-free performance if used side-by-side with the previous WMS 40 PRO systems.

All WMS 40 PRO systems deliver best-in-class performance and ultra-low operating costs, thanks to 30 hours of operation time from 1 x AA battery. The all-metal receiver chassis and miniature-sized transmitters make them easy and comfortable to use. The WMS 40 PRO has achieved wide acceptance from musicians, houses of worship, educational, rental and presentation markets for its unique value and excellent reliability.

AKG’s Director Of Marketing Services, Mike Torlone, states, “AKG WMS 40 PRO wireless systems have consistently proven themselves to be reliable and easily used with an outstanding sound in a range of applications from worship and education to live performance and corporate. The availability of these news frequencies ensures that the WMS 40 PRO products will be compliant with the changes in the U.S. RF spectrum allocation and will continue to provide customers with great sound and solid value for years to come.?
