Brain Traffic gets busy with Electro-Voice
Electro-Voice EVID 4.2 surface-mount loudspeakers are matching visual style with sonic substance at Brain Traffic, a leading Web content design firm based in Minneapolis, MN.
A/V integration specialists Aufderworld (Bloomington, MN) worked closely with interior design company Life Space Interiors to find a sound system that would compliment their vision for Brain Traffic’s meeting room. The EVID line of speakers earned both Life Space and Brain Traffic’s approval with its subtle curves and superb sound quality, as Brian Chelminiak, Chief Operations Officer, Aufderworld, explains:
“Brain Traffic required sound reinforcement to enhance their creative meeting room, which acts as a think tank for their team of writers and designers. We’ve completed several installations with Life Space, and each one has been in conference room settings like this—spaces where the right aesthetic detailing is key.�
Six white EVID 4.2s cover the room, powered by a single receiver, providing plug-and-play sound reinforcement for DVD playback and computer audio. “I was talking with the Brain Traffic’s Vice President, Jason Kleckner,� Chelminiak says, “and he told me ‘they sound fantastic!’�
Brain Trust likes the look and sound of their new EVID system so much that they plan to install more. On Fridays, when the office hosts its end-of-the-week happy hour, employees can now enjoy club-quality music with their drinks. “The EVIDs deliver full-bandwidth response without any dedicated subwoofers,� adds Chelminiak, “meaning they can seamlessly make the transition from presentation audio to high-end, hi-fi music playback—they sound great when things get turned up.
“The EVID line represents pure flexibility,� Chelminiak continues; “with everything from 6.2s to ceiling speakers, there isn’t an application that EVID doesn’t fit, especially for office environments and the other smaller scale installations in which we specialize.�
