Revolabs Introduces the Classroom Wireless Amplification System

RevolabsMAYNARD, MASS (January 21, 2009) – Starting today, students and teachers in America can benefit from the same wireless audio technology in their classrooms that several of the world’s major corporations do in their conference rooms.

Revolabs, the leading provider of wireless audio products for enhancing collaboration, is introducing today an amplification system for classroom settings that utilizes radio frequency (RF) wireless technology for exceptional sound clarity.

Its use of advanced RF-based wireless transmission technology means the Revolabs Classroom™ Wireless Amplification System delivers unmatched audio quality to ensure every one of a teacher’s words is heard clearly and without distracting, extraneous noise. The microphone is equipped with Revolabs RF-Armor technology that makes it impervious to unwanted audio interference, like the buzz caused by certain types of cell phones and PDAs. Further, there is no need to be concerned about line-of-sight issues impacting wireless connectivity as exists with other transmission methods. The system allows a teacher to walk anywhere in a classroom without concern about sound degradation.

“Teachers like a wireless microphone because it lets them move from student to student, creating a sense of individual engagement, while still communicating with every class member,? said Bob Milley, assistant superintendent, Sudbury, MA, Public Schools. “Revolabs Classroom System accomplishes this with the advantages of first-rate sound quality and a very lightweight microphone.?

The Revolabs Classroom system’s rechargeable wireless microphone is small and ultra light, measuring just 2.5 inches high, about one inch across and weighing mere ounces. It can be clipped onto a shirt pocket or a blouse, becoming unobtrusive. Further, it is capable of putting in a full day of classes. The built-in rechargeable battery provides eight hours of talk time after a full charge, provided by the charger base that is part of the Revolabs Classroom system. A recharge to 85 percent capacity can be attained in about 45 minutes.

“The simple-to-use Revolabs Classroom Amplification System lets teachers focus more on what they’re teaching and far less on whether students are hearing it all clearly,? said Martin Bodley, Revolabs CEO. ““In the classroom or the boardroom, Revolabs RF wireless technology is optimized for transporting the spoken word clearly and accurately, which makes it perfect for applications across many industries and professions.?

Revolabs Classroom Amplification System is available through Revolabs network of distributors and dealers in the United States. It comes complete with a rechargeable wireless microphone featuring Revolabs RF Armor technology, charger base, two speakers and wall mounts. Manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the system is $849.
