A virtual press conference from Sound & Video Contractor

Digital signage distributor, Electrograph Systems, Inc. (DSE Booth #1230) is demonstrating the powerful potential of an interconnected network comprised of the industry’s latest displays, affordable content creation/management services and tools that promote greater interactivity during Digital Signage Expo 2009, February 24-26 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“Despite the economy, digital signage continues to open up a wealth of lucrative business opportunities. In fact, we’ve seen more large scale digital signage installations in the past year than we’ve seen in the previous six years combined,? said Sam Taylor, president of Electrograph Systems, Inc. “We have the ability to provide partners with all the equipment and services needed to create an interconnected network — and that is exactly what we will show this year in the Electrograph booth.?

DSE show attendees can expect to see live demonstrations of the following in Electrograph’s reconfigured 20′ x 20′ booth:

Rise Vision, Inc., Remote Content Management Service. In December, Electrograph entered a relationship with Rise Vision to give partners access to the Rise Display Network, a Web-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) system designed to organize digital signage content, integrate live data and monitor a network. With SaaS, Electrograph partners can offer an application that simply plugs into the Internet and allows the network to be configured remotely by the experts.

LG Electronics LCD Stretch Screen. Electrograph will show a Stretch LCD from LG Electronics that offers more than double the viewing area of standard displays. Great for windows, lobbies and hard-to-fit locations, the HDTV digital signage monitor is roughly one-half the height of traditional LCD displays. With 1,000:1 contrast ratio for crisp, clear images and RS-232C input for easy control and delivery of content, the stretch screen is a creative display option for everything from casinos to corporations.

Symbicon Ltd. Indoor and Outdoor Displays. Symbicon’s IconOne 57″ weather-proof LCD display is for digital signage/advertising in a wide range of climate conditions. Its integrated PC and wired/wireless network connections provide a smart platform for customizable content that can be displayed 24/7. The IconOne panel is environmentally sound (IP65) with anti-glare tempered safety glass, a steel frame and vibration damper protection. During DSE, Electrograph is offering Symbicon specials, including 50 percent off demo units, a $500 spiff on 57″ models and a $1,000 spiff on 82″ (world’s largest) models.

DoubleSight All-in-One Display. Electrograph is the only exhibitor to show the DoubleSight Digital Information Display sign solution at DSE. DID is a 46″ LCD display with a freestanding tower design that allows for convenient placement anywhere electricity is available. The DID-46KSKM is compatible with standard digital file formats, including AVI (MPEG 1/2/4) and JPEG, to simplify content creation and allow easy management via an onboard USB port.

One World Touch Monitor. Electrograph recently signed on One World Touch to supply LCD touch monitors for digital signage. Electrograph is showing the 40″ large touch LCD monitor, which uses Dispersive Signal Technology for optical clarity, durability and quick touch response. This touch monitor, used with the NEC M40-AV display, is ideal for everything from wayfinders to emergency call centers and virtual building tours.

American Technology Corporation Directed Audio Speakers. Electrograph is showing how ATC’s HyperSonic Sound directed products help place sound in a specific location. Using a tightly focused directional beam of sound that is heard only by those in a selected area, HSS minimizes the noise pollution in both open and confined spaces for inexpensive audio placement that is ideal for tour facilities, retail establishments, paging and announcing systems, and other audio applications.

Attendees visiting the Electrograph booth can also register for the company’s first 2009 Display Technology Experience (DTE) complimentary reseller event on March 24 in Dallas, Texas. The daylong event includes a brand-new lineup of training sessions, several of which focus specifically on digital signage, and a new manufacturers’ product showcase featuring all-new display products and peripherals.

Additionally, Electrograph is the charter sponsor of the new Digital Signage Experts Group Certification Program being held on Tuesday, February 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Led by Alan Brawn and Jonathan Brawn, principals and co-owners of Brawn Consulting LLC, the full-day course will focus on topics such as state of the market, fundamentals of the digital signage system design, service models and how to sell value into digital signage. A test is administered and certificates are issued at the completion of this course.
