The impressive 43,000 sq. ft. facility is located in the recently opened $200 million Houston Pavilions complex. In common with the twelve existing branded music venues in the United States, House of Blues Houston features an array of Sennheiser and Neumann microphones. Optimum sound is ensured by evolution wireless and Neumann wired vocal microphones, evolution instrument mics as well as evolution wireless personal monitoring systems.

Each of the dozen House of Blues venues across the country – Anaheim, Atlantic City, Cleveland, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Myrtle Beach, San Diego, Orlando, and now Houston – feature state-of-the-art house PA systems that include an extensive selection of Sennheiser products. The equipment list at each House of Blues venue includes multiple e 901, e 902, e 904, e 905, e 906, e 908B, e 914, e 614, MD 421 II, MKH 60 and MKH 70 wired microphones for amplified and acoustic instruments. Wired vocal microphones include e 865 condensers, dynamic e 935s and e 945s, as well as Neumann KMS 104 and KMS 105 condenser mics. Two pairs of HD 280 Pro headphones are used for monitoring.

Sennheiser evolution wireless systems at each venue include eight SKM 935 G2 handheld vocal microphones, plus four EM 550 G2 true diversity twin receivers. evolution wireless ew 300 IEM G2 personal monitor set-ups with an A 5000 CP circularly polarized antenna round out the RF setup.

According to Brady Campbell, production manager for House of Blues Houston, the relationship with Sennheiser is already off to a great start. “The quality of Sennheiser’s microphones just brings out the quality of the PA,” he says. “It sounds like you’re listening to a really good home stereo, that’s how crystal clear everything is. And the wireless mics are perfect. At this point I wouldn’t go with anything but Sennheiser for wireless. They just have a superior product as far as I’m concerned.”

Kristy Jo Winkler, Sennheiser’s relations manager, Americas and Canada, commented, “Having worked with House of Blues Entertainment a couple of years ago to arrange for Sennheiser products to be installed at their branded music venues, I am pleased that the organization’s list of locations continues to expand. Live Nation is the largest live music company in the world, and I am thrilled that global artists are able to take advantage of the high-quality microphones and personal monitor systems that they require and deserve when they perform at these venues.”

The upcoming concert slate for House of Blues Houston includes The Pretenders, Jesse McCartney, Dr. John and the Neville Brothers, Jonny Lang with Sharon Little, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Katy Perry with Alpha Beat, O.A.R. with Eric Hutchinson, Gov’t Mule & The Disco Biscuits, with additional show information available at: www.livenation.com or www.houseofblues.com.
