PureLink’s New Modular Matrix Router Breakthrough—Combines DVI and HDMI In One Chassis For Large Scale “Everything to Everything1080p HD Routing

PureLink MX-1800 Modular Digital Matrix RouterLittle Ferry, New Jersey, Feb 9, 2009…….PureLink™ by Dtrovision LLC announced today it would begin shipping it’s breakthrough Modular Digital Matrix Router Series beginning March 1, 2009. PureLink manufactures the world’s best selling line of Integrated DVI and HDMI Matrix Routers, with exclusive features not found on any other brand.

Large scale matrix routing, above the 8×8 threshold, has been impossible via HDMI because 1080p HD resolution is protected by HDCP, an encryption-based copy protection system imposed by the Studios and supported by legal mandates against piracy in the DMCA of 1997. The IC’s necessary to do this on a large scale, either 18×18 or 36×36, did not exist until recently.

Instead of having a separate chassis for either DVI or HDMI, PureLink’s engineers decided to “modularize the chassis so that the end user could combine either DVI or HDMI input and output boards in a single chassis, slot loaded from the rear panel. The boards are sold separately, with 3 inputs and 3 outputs on each board for the MX-1800 and 6 inputs and 6 outputs for the MX-3600. The DVI version boards come with or without HDCP. HDMI version boards always have HDCP.

Reached at company headquarters in Little Ferry, New Jersey, Dtrovision President Minsoo Park said “PureLink’s continuing commitment is to build what our customers want and need, build it first, and build it best. Our reputation for being on time, meeting spec, and being reliable is the foundation of our brand. When it comes to moving “protected and even non-protected Gigabit HD content to multiple 1080p displays around a Stadium, Sports Bar, Office Building, Hospital, Digital Signage installation or Command and Control Room, nothing we know of can beat a PureLink.

The MX-1800 Modular Matrix Router MSRP is $17,999.00 for up to 18×18 inputs and outputs, the MX-3600 sells for $33,999.00 and has up to 36×36 configurability. Each main housing unit features an LCD screen for operation and control with PureLink’s proprietary software. PureLink’s advanced EDID recognition and storage system is a standard feature, along with the industry’s fastest response time, a must for use with external system controllers from Crestron, AMX, Barco, and Vista.
