Audio Authority Announces Single Cat 5 Component/Audio Extender Systems
Lexington, Kentucky, February 27, 2009 – Audio Authority Corporation (www.audioauthority.com) announces the 1180-series of Cat 5 extenders, part of seven new product announcements scheduled to reach market in the second quarter of 2009.
The SCP-11 and SCP-11D systems apply Audio Authority’s leading AGE (Active Gain Equalization) technology to a single Cat 5 system suitable for transmitting 1080p component video and digital coaxial audio up to 1000 feet from the source. The SCP-11 systems and 1180-series products are manufactured in the USA, in Audio Authority’s Lexington, KY factory.
“This is truly a ‘better kind of balun’, a class-leading design due to the advancements inherent in our Active Gain Equalization technology. The video signals simply go further and look better than with a passive balun system, or many other active systems, said Trent Davis, Audio Authority’s product manager.
Adding to the convenience factor, at distances under 700 feet, the Cat 5 receivers need no external power supplies – they receive power from the transmitter unit over Cat 5.
The SCP-11 system includes one 1180T and one 1180R transmitter and receiver pair. The SCP-11D system features the wallplate-style 1180TD and 1180RD.
The SCP-11 and SCP-11D kits will be available in April 2009 for an anticipated MSRP of $299.00 per kit.
1180T and 1180TD can be purchased individually for $139.00. 1180R and 1180RD can be purchased individually for $179.00.
SCP-11 and SCP-11D Bullet Points:
• Audio Authority’s leading AGE (Active Gain Equalization) technology in a single Cat 5 application
• Extends component video and digital coaxial audio up to 1000 ft over one Cat 5 cable
• SCP-11 includes box transmitter and box receiver
• SCP-11D includes wallplate transmitter and wallplate receiver
• Transmitter powers receiver over Cat 5 up to 700 feet away for easy, clean install
