Audio Authority Intros New 4×4 Component Matrix with RS-232 and Ethernet Control

CMX-144 Component / Audio MatrixLexington, Kentucky, March 5, 2009 – Audio Authority Corporation (www.audioauthority.com) announces the CMX-144 matrix, one of seven new product introductions scheduled to reach market in the second quarter of 2009.

The CMX-144 Component / Audio Matrix will be the industry’s most controllable 4×4 matrix, featuring Ethernet, RS-232, IR, and touch-sensitive front panel controls. The durable metal chassis houses high bandwidth component video switching capable of handing video resolutions up to 1080p. The CMX-144 is manufactured in the USA, in Audio Authority’s Lexington, KY factory.

The matrix switches component video, L/R analog audio, digital coaxial audio, and digital optical audio. Digital coax and digital optical signals are automatically cross-converted internally, eliminating the need for outboard converters.

Audio and video can be switched separately, allowing the user to view one source while listening to another. The matrix is rack mountable with included rack ears.

“We believe the CMX-144 will redefine performance and controllability in the sub-$1000 matrix category, without sacrificing an integrator’s profit margin,? said Trent Davis, Audio Authority’s product manager. “We defined it specifically to fit in with any integrator’s preferred control solution, and to meet a price point palatable to today’s more conservative customer.?

The CMX-144 will be available in April 2009 for an anticipated MSRP of $799.00.

CMX-144 Bullet Points:
• 4-input, 4-output matrix, with component video, digital coaxial/optical audio, analog audio
• Ethernet, RS-232, IR, and front panel control options make the matrix controllable in almost any way
• Supports component video resolutions up to 1080p
• Automatic cross-conversion between digital audio formats
• Independent video and audio switching – view one source while listening to another
