New HDMI over Coax Extender from Audio Authority
Lexington, Kentucky, February 27, 2009 – Audio Authority Corporation (www.audioauthority.com) announces the HCX-11 HDMI over Coax extender system, one of seven new product introductions scheduled to reach market in the second quarter of 2009.
The HCX-11 HDMI over Coax Extender uses existing bundled coaxial cable to extend 1080p digital video up to 330 feet from the source. The extender supports high bitrate audio such as Dolby TrueHD, DTS:HD Master Audio, and LPCM. 36-bit deep color is also supported.
The receiver can be remotely powered over the coax in a five-coax system, or only four coax cables can be used with power supplies at the transmitter and receiver.
“This extender is great when pre-existing coaxial wiring from previous RGB or component systems is available, or in situations where extension distances beyond the limit of Cat 5 systems are required, said Trent Davis, Audio Authority’s product manager. “In keeping with Audio Authority’s commitment to installation flexibility, we’ve included the ability to use either four or five coaxial cables based on the installation’s needs.
The HCX-11 system will be available in April/May 2009 at an anticipated MSRP of $699.00.
