BTX Selected as U.S. Distributor for Dataprobe’s iBoot and iBootBar Remote Reboot and Power Management Solutions
HAWTHORNE, N.Y. ― March 10, 2009 ― BTX Technologies today announced that it has partnered with Dataprobe, an innovator of system disaster prevention, disaster recovery, and remote site management technologies, as U.S. A/V and broadcast market distributor for the company’s iBoot and iBootBar. Under the agreement, BTX will provide sales and support for the remote reboot and power management solutions as Dataprobe extends its market presence in the A/V and broadcast industries.
Since 1969, Dataprobe has been designing, manufacturing, and marketing solutions that provide maximum uptime, minimize downtime, and provide efficient management of remote systems and facilities. Network architects, communications managers, and OEM developers rely on Dataprobe to provide cost-effective products, creative engineering solutions, and high-reliability systems for their most critical networking challenges.
“We chose BTX based on its proven track record for high-quality representation, vast sales presence, and dedication to innovation,” said David Weiss, president of Dataprobe. “We are confident that this agreement will strengthen our iBoot and iBootBar presence in the pro A/V and broadcast marketplace while offering high-quality, hands-on customer service.”
iBoot is a 10/100 Ethernet-network-attached, IP-addressed, Web-controlled remote power switch. Users simply go to iBoot’s IP address on their browsers, enter the password, and are one click away from power on, off, or a timed reboot. The iBootBar remote reboot power strip controls each outlet independently from the Web, Telnet, or SNMP. Users have network access plus out-of-band control via serial port and internal modem with both data and dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tone dial control. iBootBar continuously monitors the current drawn from its outlets and reports user-settable high- and low-current alarms, allowing users to know immediately when there is too much load, or if a device stops working.
“Dataprobe has a long history of providing innovative solutions that are proven to be highly reliable in today’s demanding remote site management environment,” said Greg Schwartz, president of BTX. “We are delighted to add Dataprobe’s one-of-a-kind iBoot and iBootBar solutions to our product offering.”
