RTcom USA Releases Dynamic Family of Robust DVI and HDMI Digital Matrix Routers

SPARTA, N.J. ― March 10, 2009 ― RTcom USA Inc., a provider of digital connectivity solutions for professional and consumer A/V systems, today expanded its Digital Extender line of DVI and HDMI matrix routers with the introduction of six robust new models. The HS-44M, HS-66M, and HS-88M High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) matrix routers feature 4-in-4-out, 6-in-6-out, and 8-in-8-out ports, respectively. Also new from RTcom USA is the DS-44HM, DS-66HM, and DS-88HM high-performance Digital Video Interface (DVI) routers with 4-in-4-out, 6-in-6-out, and 8-in-8-out ports, respectively. All six new matrix routers offer full HDCP (High bandwidth Digital Content Protection) compliance, giving users the ability to transmit HD audio and video signals simultaneously to as many as eight displays.

With the HS-44M, HS-66M, HS-88M and DS-44HM, DS-66HM, DS-88HM matrix routers, DVI and HDMI signals from popular A/V devices — such as A/V receivers, satellite set top boxes, and Blu-ray disc players — can be sent simultaneously to four, six, or eight different displays without degradation in signal quality. The routers’ HDCP compatibility alleviates the problem of HDCP encoding, which previously blocked signals from being transmitted from A/V products to multiple display devices.

“Our philosophy at RTcom is to provide high-quality, cutting-edge products to both consumers and professional integrators,” said Joon Ryu, president of RTcom USA. “The new family of Digital Extender matrix routers is indicative of this philosophy. We developed the industry’s first six-source input/output router and since, we have continually strived to be innovators in the digital connectivity market.”

The HS-44M, HS-66M, and HS-88M HDMI Matrix Routers Feature:
• Multiple switching modes allowing any of up to 4, 6, or 8 sources to be sent to any of 4, 6, or 8 display devices
