Extron CVC 300 Component Video to RGB Converter Now Shipping

CVC 300
Anaheim, California (March 19, 2009) – Extron Electronics is pleased to announce the immediate availability of the CVC 300, a new universal, high definition component video to RGB converter. It accepts all standard definition and high definition analog component video formats, from 480i and 576i to HDTV 1080p/60 and 1920×1200, and transcodes the incoming component video signal for output as RGBHV or RGBS. The CVC 300 is ideal for use in applications that require the integration of devices with component video output, such as DVD players, DTV tuners and DVRs, or game consoles, into RGB-based A/V system designs.

"A/V system integrators are now faced with a proliferation of upconverting DVD players, HD set-top boxes, and other devices with component video outputs that need to coexist with RGBHV sources," says Lee Dodson, Vice President of Marketing for Extron. "The Extron CVC 300 is a compact, cost-effective problem solver that addresses the challenge of integrating such devices into both new and existing high resolution system designs."

The CVC 300 supports interlaced or progressive scan video with bi-level or tri-level sync, detecting and maintaining the relative timing of sync signals during the component video to RGB conversion process. It also accepts RGsB signals for sync conversion to RGBHV or RGBS.
