CHAT 70The CHAT 70 Personal Speakerphone is Optimized for Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 and is perfect for teleworkers or traveling professionals.

SALT LAKE CITY, — ClearOne (NASDAQ: CLRO), a leading provider of high performance audio conferencing solutions, today announced the CHAT 70, a new personal speakerphone specifically designed for use with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007. As a Certified Partner in the Microsoft Partner Program, ClearOne has been rapidly releasing high performance audio solutions that support users of Microsoft’s unified communications platform. The CHAT 70 is ClearOne’s newest audio product to be qualified as Optimized for Microsoft Office Communicator, following the CHAT 170 group conferencing speakerphone which was announced in January.

The CHAT 70 personal speakerphone easily connects via USB to laptops or PCs for natural, hands-free audio communication. The CHAT 70 delivers full-duplex capability for crystal-clear communications and is the perfect addition to the office or home office, providing convenient, high-quality audio for users of Office Communicator 2007.

“The CHAT 70 is a perfect complement to Office Communicator and we are glad it is now available to our customers,? said Moz Hussain, director, Microsoft Unified Communications Group at Microsoft Corp. “The combination of ClearOne’s CHAT 70 and Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 will enable organizations to better connect people, information and business processes.?

The CHAT 70 contains HDConference™, ClearOne’s suite of high-performance audio technologies that encompasses such things as full duplex, echo cancellation, noise reduction and adaptive modeling. Taken separately, each technology is best-in-class and a critical component to a quality audio experience. In combination, these elements make conferencing and collaboration a more natural experience. The CHAT 70 also delivers completely plug-and-play operation, requiring no software or drivers to be installed.

“We are very pleased to announce the CHAT 70 as our newest speakerphone to support Office Communications Server 2007,? said Tracy Bathurst, CTO at ClearOne. “The CHAT 70 is a very powerful collaboration tool and yet is small enough to toss in with your laptop and take on the road. Users of Office Communicator 2007 have a hands-free communication option that delivers a more natural and personal audio experience without being tethered to the computer via a headset. Products like the CHAT 70 are becoming more important as audio and video communication continues to migrate to the desktop and as organizations look for ways to increase productivity and reduce costs.?

The CHAT 70 has a suggested retail price of $159.99 and will begin shipping before the end of March.
