HaiVision Brings Performance Network Video Expertise to Technologies for Worship Magazine Pavilion at 2009 NAB Show

MONTREAL — April 9, 2009 — HaiVision Network Video, the world’s leading vendor of high-performance H.264 encoders, codecs, and video-over-IP systems, today announced that it will contribute its advanced encoding technology and expertise to the Technologies for Worship Magazine (TFWM) pavilion at the 2009 NAB Show. TFWM Pavilion staff will use HaiVision’s “zero-latency” MAKO-HD™ TelePresence codec to simulate the video performance attainable at remote facilities. In addition, company and integration experts will host a workshop entitled “Performance Network Video Uniting Remote Churches.”

“Due to the superior quality of HaiVision codecs, the MAKO-HD is ideal for expanding churches,” said Barry Cobus, vice president of Technologies for Worship Magazine. “We expect that the product demonstration and the workshop will offer visitors a solid opportunity to see for themselves how high-quality, low-latency video can seamlessly connect distant facilities.”

“Today’s expanding churches are discovering that always-on network video technology offers the most engaging means of reaching out to members at remote campuses,” said Peter Maag, senior vice president of HaiVision Network Video. “HaiVision leads the TelePresence market because our technology brings immediacy and intimacy to communications.”

During live demonstrations and workshops at the TFWM pavilion, attendees will learn how to establish persuasive communications between sites, about techniques to manage the production, and how to leverage industry-standard H.264 technology to address needs for on-campus and Internet video distribution.

The workshop will be offered twice a day at 11:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. April 20-22 and at 11:30 a.m. April 23 at Technologies for Worship Magazine’s pavilion in the center hall, booth C12343. The workshop will feature Jayson Fuhlbruck of Eastgate Productions, a key integration partner of HaiVision for the house of worship market. Fuhlbruck not only offers a complete understanding of the HaiVision product line and related implementation strategies, but also offers significant expertise in event production, system design, and integration.
