Stage Research Announces Special Pricing For USITT Members
Following the bustling USITT (United States Institute for Theatre Technology) Conference and Stage Expo in Cincinnati, where attendance was up an estimated nine percent over last year, Stage Research has announced special prices for its software for USITT members.
“We are offering packages of software bundled with our educational DVDs and workbooks matching the discipline of the software the USITT member is buying,” explains Carlton Guc, cofounder of Stage Research. “For example, USITT members who buy our flagship SFX Deluxe for $395 will also receive our Theatrical Sound Design Interactive DVD and Workbook, valued at $74, at no additional cost.” Students would be able to purchase the same package for $195.
Similar values apply to Stage Research’s other software. SoftPlot, a graphical design tool that enables lighting designers to plot lighting and manage paperwork at all levels of the industry, is available for $295 with a TDI Lighting DVD and Workbook at no extra cost. (Student cost is $195)
LightFactory, which brings all the features expected from a lighting control board to software, which can be run on the smallest of laptops, is offered for $399 with a complementary TDI Lighting DVD and Workbook.
And ShowBuilder, which takes the drudgery out of the administrative side of all production disciplines, is available for $195 with a TDI Sound DVD and Workbook at no extra cost. (Student cost is $95)
The best deal of all is offered with the full suite of TDI products from Stage Research. USITT members can purchase the company’s entire range of software for lighting, sound, makeup and stage craft plus workbooks for lighting and sound for $245 (regularly $396).
“We want to be proactive in offering our products at an affordable price at a time when budget considerations are front-of-mind for many people,” says Guc. “We hope that our pricing model for USITT members will prompt new users to discover the latest versions of our software.”
