Advanced Networked Direct Field Sound Masking System Now Available from Lencore

CrossNetOne™(WOODBURY, NY) Lencore Acoustics Corp, the leading manufacturer of commercial sound masking systems announces the availability of CrossNetOne™ – the most flexible, versatile and innovative networked direct field system available in the industry.

When a networked direct field speaker or system is required, the Lencore CrossNetOne™ system provides the highest level of sound quality and adjustability and offers the added tuning flexibility of network controls. Through the system’s managing software, zones can be created and modified for masking and paging. On-going changes and additions to zones can all be handled through the network interface without the need to rewire the system substantially reducing labor and wiring. The award-winning system can be adjusted for volume and contour changes via the network simply and easily for immediate results. In addition, the system is also tunable by hand-held remote. Lencore also offers both standard and large speaker sizes to provide clients with the widest dispersion and better sound quality than any other direct field sound masking system.

Installation is simplified using plug and play Cat 5e cable with standard RJ12 connections. The CrossNetOne™ speakers are engineered with dog ear screw adjustments and/or a locator pin to insure an easy, smooth installation.
Using a random sound masking source, coupled with Lencore’s E-Sound® technology, CrossNetOne™ produces a sound quality with no discernable repeats. Sound pressure level adjustments are available to a total of 96 positions with ± ½ dB tuning tolerances for added flexibility and comfort.

The CrossNetOne™ System allows users to add paging and music to their masking system with the simple addition of the Lencore’s Music Page Interface (MPI). Thus providing clients with three systems for virtually the cost of one.
Revolutionary in and of itself, Lencore’s Music Page Interface (MPI) replaces all the bulky head-end equipment that is typically associated with music paging systems, and provides end users with the ability to program 100 zones and up to 1.5 million square feet.

The CrossNetOne™ System uses a multi-drop network capable of being tuned through a network, LAN or wireless hand-held remote. The system is designed in such a way that individual speaker or component failure will have no impact on the balance of the system.

The CrossNetOne™ System includes digital signal processors, electronic noise generators, amplifiers, wiring, loudspeakers, controls and components to generate, amplify, distribute and reproduce digitally synthesized and stabilized background sound masking to create speech privacy.

The system is capable of performing complete diagnostic functions and uses an open platform operating system (LonTalk®) that uses ISO/IEC global standards.

Jonathan Leonard, Lencore’s VP had this to say about the system, “Unlike competing systems, CrossNetOne™ utilizes browsers for full manipulation of the system without the need for introducing any proprietary software onto the client’s IT side.? Lencore Systems are the only sound masking systems that comply with ANSI 709.1 for a true open platform system. Leonard adds, “This is good news for every company’s IT and security departments. Clients retain all of the tools and programs necessary to work the sound masking system and they can work with Lencore or any acoustical or electrical contractor of their choosing to manage their system as their facility changes and grows.?

Lencore products are manufactured in the U.S. with high levels of recycled content and within strict environmental guidelines. CrossNetOne™ System is manufactured with over 50% recycled aluminum. The plastic content used for the speakers’ housing is ABS (recycled). The system’s on-going energy costs are negligible and it’s reliability unmatched in the industry.
Currently, LEED HC allows two credits for acoustics and it is expected that other categories of LEED will follow. Sound masking has been considered an acceptable acoustical solution for obtaining speech privacy and should be considered as part of your overall LEED strategies and programs.
