RTcom USA Launches Versatile Signal Scalers/Converters Supporting a Wide Range of Analog and Digital Video Signals

New Digital Extender® HDSDI-21D HD-SDI/SDI-to-DVI Converter and MFC-01 Multiformat Scaler Offer Extreme Flexibility for Simplified Installations

SPARTA, N.J. ― April 20, 2009 ― RTcom USA Inc., a provider of digital connectivity solutions for professional and consumer A/V systems, today introduced two additions to its Digital Extender® line of signal scalers and converters. The HDSDI-21D HD-SDI/SDI-to-DVI signal converter for LCD or plasma displays utilizes a high-quality scaling engine to automatically size 4:3 or 16:9 inputs to a variety of DVI monitors. The MFC-01 multiformat converter also features a built-in scaling engine and converts various video signals including composite, S-video, component, VGA, HD-SDI/SDI, and DVI to any desired output format.

The Digital Extender scalers/converters are ideal for broadcasting, monitoring, video display, and presentation systems in studios, command and control centers, boardrooms, tradeshow and event facilities, and much more. The HDSDI-21D is the ultimate solution for displaying SDI or HD-SDI on any LCD or plasma DVI monitor, while the MFC-01 series converts a number of video signals to any desired format for extreme flexibility and compatibility with nearly any display. Both converters feature a high-quality built-in scaling engine, which allows multiple resolutions to be sized automatically to 4:3 or 16:9 formats on any display.

“A major goal in developing these latest converters was to create a seamless integration between all devices in a large-scale professional installation,” said Joon Ryu, president of RTcom USA. “These converters allow for DVI, HD-SDI, SDI video, as well as other analog signals to be converted to the desired output format or scan rate with great ease.”

The HDSDI-21D features:

• Visual display of input/output resolution through LCD window
