HHB CELEBRATES 1,000th FLASHMIC SOLD IN GERMANY

radio_basix.JPGOLD LYME, CONNECTICUT – APRIL 2009: With more than 10,000 units in use around the world, the HHB FlashMic digital recording microphone is already the interview recorder of choice for leading broadcasters including ABC Radio, Aljazeera, the BBC, Bloomberg, BSkyB, CNN, NHK, NBC, and RAI. Now HHB celebrates the sale of its 1,000th FlashMic in Germany where distributor INNOTON has already added national broadcasters WDR and NDR, and ORF (Austria) to the prestigious FlashMic user list. The 1,000th FlashMic in Germany was sold to Radio BasiX, a web radio project for young people in the Kraichgau region of South Western Germany, whose journalists now enjoy the same recording quality, ease-of-use, and convenient file transfer as their more experienced counterparts in the world’s major broadcasting networks.

“Start early is our motto,” says Radio BasiX Project Manager Maurice Gundt. “It’s so easy for our young reporters to get great results with the FlashMic, now that they are equipped for every interview.”

jo_brand.JPGElsewhere in the world, the FlashMic has played its part in helping Comic Relief raise an amazing £59 Million to help the world’s disadvantaged. “Reports Lucy McGill, Comic Relief media officer, “Whether collecting sound bites in London, in any of the regions across the UK or at our international projects in Africa, the FlashMic has been invaluable.”

Combining a studio quality microphone capsule with a broadcast quality Flash recorder and USB interface, the FlashMic range includes omnidirectional and cardioid models, both available with and without line inputs. Noted Ian Jones, HHB managing director, “The FlashMic has become the industry-standard interview recorder for major broadcast and press journalists around the world, most of whom cite recording quality, ease-of-use and ease of file transfer as the key FlashMic benefits. We’re delighted to congratulate Uwe Seyfert and the INNOTON team on their great success with the FlashMic in Germany and Austria.”
