Gefen Shows Two GefenTV Audio Solutions for Plug and Play Creation of Surround Sound Audio using Digital and Analog Formats
InfoComm Booth 2651 – The GefenTV Digital Audio Decoder and the GefenTV Home Theater Audio Processor are being demonstrated in the Gefen booth at InfoComm. The GefenTV line offers professional quality solutions streamlined for home users with plug and play operations and attractive packaging. Two new audio products allow users to maintain their existing analog-based audio systems while easily integrating newer digital audio formats, including Dolby 5.1 surround sound.
GefenTV Digital Audio Decoder for HDMI
This convenient solution allows you to feed digital audio in the HDMI format into 8-channel analog audio so you can listen to hi-def movies and programs on your existing audio speaker system. Because it supplies one HDMI input and two mirrored HDMI outputs, you can decode the audio from one HDMI signal to feed your analog system, and connect the other HDMI output to any HDTV or projector. A digital S/PDIF input is delivered in optical TOSlink format for a direct connection to any supplemental digital audio device. Analog 8-channel Audio is delivered in Dolby encoded format with support for Dolby Pro Logic II up to 5.1, and Pro Logic II X to 7.1. A tiny LCD screen on the unit accesses menu options with volume control.
GefenTV Home Theater Audio Processor
This audio processor also feeds digital audio from any HDMI input into 8-channel analog audio, but also offers 25 watts per channel amplification, best suited for speaker systems that do not use their own amplification. One HDMI input is delivered in two mirrored outputs, allowing you to connect an HDTV and projector or dual displays. In addition to the 8-channel audio connections, digital audio connections are provided for surround sound using left, right, front left, front right, rear left, rear right, subwoofer and center. An S/PDIF input is delivered in TOSlink format while the LCD screen displays user selections and menu options.
