CEN-WAP-ABG-CM Provides 360 Degree Coverage with Power over Ethernet
ROCKLEIGH, NJ, May 26, 2009 – Now available, the Crestron CEN-WAP-ABG-CM Wireless Access Point (WAP) is the latest in a series of network, Power over Ethernet (PoE) solutions. The CEN-WAP-ABG-CM supports 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi and enables easy setup, low profile ceiling mount installation, 360 degree coverage, and enterprise level security and management capabilities.
The CEN-WAP-ABG is powered right through LAN wiring, so there is no need for an adjacent electrical outlet. Installation is clean and simple: the CEN-WAP-ABG-CM mounts into a flat ceiling surface using a standard 1-gang plaster ring or wall box; its white color blends nicely with a typical ceiling, or its cover can be removed and painted.
Connecting wireless devices to the control network is quick and easy, and does not require configuration. Each unit ships with a unique network name and key. Simply enter the information in the touchpanel upon setup and the connection is instantaneous. Network devices connected to the CEN-WAP are totally secure. It supports up to 152-bit WEP encryption as well as the more advanced WPA and WPA2 authentication and encryption methods for a safe, secure wireless network in the home or office.
