IHSEusa introduces new DXXi series for Dual Link DVI up to 2560X2048

Monroe, NJ – June 1, 2009 – IHSEusa,LLC, a leading provider of DVI and KVM extender solutions introduces the new DXXi Fiber Extenders supporting Dual Link DVI, USB 2.0, and KVM applications. The DXXi Digital KVM extenders offer perfect signal quality without sacrificing image quality. These extenders support DVI-D in an uncompressed mode for resolutions up to 2560X2048 using only two fiber connectors. Up to 1920X1200 or 1920X1080p/60 is supported without compression over a single fiber connector. USB-HID devices are supported for keyboard and mouse as well as touchscreen displays and interactive gaming keyboards. With the addition of a third fiber, full USB 2.0 can be supported with complete bi-directional communications for USB as well as EDID and HDCP for DVI and HDMI devices.
The high density design allows up to three devices to be installed in a 1RU frame. The DXXi supports multimode fiber for distances up to 400m when used with 50/125u multimode fiber. Get uncompressed data transmission for 1080p HDTV video as well as full digital transport of embedded digital audio when it is included with the HDMI device.
An optional DXXi version is available with a built-in KVM switch in the local unit allowing up to two CPU’s to be connected to a single remote unit. With the transparent transmission of DDC information pulled directly from the attached monitor, there is no need to work with look-up tables or EDID emulators – just plug in the selected display and the remote DXXi records the necessary information for bi-directional DDC data.
These units support a wide range of applications for digital signage, call centers, command and control, information terminals, airport traffic control, and high-end KVM extensions where exceptional image quality is required.
