MediaMatrix by Peavey (InfoComm 2009 exhibit #5649) has redesigned its popular ControlMatrix® integrated hardware and software system for streamlined configuration and installation.

ControlMatrix is an extremely powerful paging control system for MediaMatrix digital audio systems, and can be designed as either a centralized, distributed or hybrid system. The new ControlMatrix supports up to 16 stations per host, and the number of hosts can be scaled according to the total number of stations needed.

Based on an embedded Windows-based host controller, ControlMatrix provides complete system management for multiple live, pre-recorded and dynamic (store & forward) messaging and paging functions. With support for hundreds of remote paging stations, ControlMatrix includes high-level network interface for all types of third-party control and data systems.

Complete button management functionality, extensive audio routing and up to 99 levels of priority assignments allow advanced customization, and its stand-alone user interface supports remote TCP/IP, allowing users to connect directly into ControlMatrix from remote network locations using LAN or WAN connectivity. Seamless integration with MediaMatrix NWareâ„¢ software provides even more power, and multiple combinations of system architecture are possible for supporting hundreds of audio inputs and outputs.

ControlMatrix also supports ADA standards for visual messaging, includes courtesy announcements, and can interface to FIDS/MUFIDS and other third-party data and control systems often required for airport terminal applications.

ControlMatrix is designed for transportation, convention, theme park and industrial paging applications. Major installations include Hong Kong International Airport, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Beijing Capital International Airport and Edinburgh Airport in Scotland.
