Phoenix College Continues To Expand Its HD Capabilities With Addition Of Hitachi CP-WX625 3LCD Projectors

– Phoenix College Has Now Outfitted 50 Classrooms With Hitachi CP-WX625 3LCD Projectors –

The Phoenix College campus of Maricopa Community Colleges in Arizona continues to expand its interactive learning capacity by installing Hitachi projectors in approximately 130 classrooms campus-wide, 50 of which are the CP-WX625 3LCD projector. The CP-WX625 3LCD projector is specially designed for use with widescreen-format laptops and imaging applications that use 16:10 aspect ratios. Additionally, the CP-WX625 features an HDMI terminal, allowing digital signals such as DVD players/recorders and HD to be transmitted digitally to the projector.

Phoenix College, a facility located on 49 acres, is the flagship college of the Maricopa Community Colleges. This district now ranks as the nation’s largest community college system and the single largest provider of higher education and career training in Arizona. More than 18,000 students prepare for university transfer, career training and advancement, or lifelong learning in one of the 200 degree and certificate programs each year.

Mike Poplin, Director of Media Services at Phoenix College, opted for the Hitachi CP-WX625 projectors, sold through Troxell Communications, when looking for an HD-capable projector to use for biology classes. “Learning is a visual experience, therefore higher grade projectors and clear images provide a more immersive learning experience,? Mr. Poplin said. “The key for us when standardizing with Hitachi is having that high-quality video, but also the customer support that Hitachi is known for.?

Mr. Poplin has also supported the use of Hitachi technology at other campuses within the Maricopa Community Colleges system. “I have shared our projectors and Hitachi equipment with some sister campuses and they have adopted them as part of their technology,? Mr. Poplin said. “Hitachi has been outstanding in providing technical support when we need it. They will conduct workshops with our staff and faculty to make sure we know how to use the technology with ease.?

This latest acquisition of Hitachi CP-WX625 projectors is a continuation of a successful working relationship between Phoenix College and Hitachi that dates back several years. “We started purchasing Hitachi projectors in 2000 and it was one of the best decisions I ever made,? Mr. Poplin added. “Knowing the kind of company they are, the kind of service they offer, I couldn’t ask for anything better.“

“While Phoenix College is the flagship campus of the Maricopa Community Colleges, it is also one of the largest and most exemplary applications of Hitachi projectors in the world,? said Ray Soltys, director of sales, Hitachi Home Electronics (America), Inc., Business Group. “We are proud to be a part of Phoenix College’s commitment to education and are thrilled Hitachi projectors have contributed in a positive way to the learning experiences of so many students.?
