Systems Integration Community Benefits From Hitachi’s Collaborations With Third-Party Manufacturers Through Certified Solutions Program

– The Hitachi Certified Solutions Program Provides Access To Products Optimized To Work Seamlessly With Hitachi 3LCD Projectors–

Hitachi Home Electronics (America), Inc., Business Group is utilizing a variety of products from third-party manufacturers while showcasing its line of industry-leading 3LCD projectors at InfoComm 09. These products are designed to work seamlessly with Hitachi projectors through Hitachi’s Certified Solutions Program. The diverse range of products include projector mounts, network connectivity devices, wireless presentation tools, projection screens and travel cases, all providing audio/video integrators with full system solutions for any application.

Hitachi will be showing its new CP-X2010N and CP-X3010N 3LCD projectors, both incorporating AMX Device Discovery™ technology. When integrating a serial or IP device that supports AMX Device Discovery, all AMX NetLinx Integrated Central Controllers automatically recognize the device and systematically load the appropriate communications module or driver, initializing the new device for use. The NI Controller recognizes the device and loads the appropriate module either from a local library on the Controller or remotely from the Partners section on AMX.com. AMX Device Discovery also allows for device swapping, eliminating programming changes when devices are removed or replaced.

“AMX Device Discovery is a valuable solution for both AMX dealers and manufacturer partners,” said Michael Peveler, Vice President of Corporate Development, AMX.
“With this addition, our dealers reap the benefits of automatic device discovery by making it easier to install Hitachi products, easing integration time and making their programming time more competitive, ultimately allowing them to take full advantage of Hitachi’s latest projection technology.”

Many of Hitachi’s displays are incorporating the Classroom System from Revolabs. The Classroom System brings unmatched audio performance with wireless convenience to the classroom. The Revolabs Classroom Wireless Amplification System is an amplification system for a classroom environment, where the teacher speaks in a normal voice allowing the students to hear every word. The system includes speakers, a Charger Base, a Transmitter/Receiver, and the small and ultra-light Revolabs RF Armor Wireless Microphone which is impervious to GSM noise from cell phones and PDAs. The Revolabs Wireless Microphone is rechargeable with a battery that provides up to eight hours of talk time, equaling a full school day, eliminating the inconvenience of dealing with batteries or battery packs while teaching.

Hitachi’s 3LCD projectors are being displayed on Da-Lite Screens at InfoComm 09. The range of screens include Da-Lites Pearlescent screens, which offer a higher degree of reflectivity and brilliance without loss of image quality or resolution, to the company’s High Power screens, which provide the reflectivity and optical characteristics of a traditional glass beaded surface with the ability to clean the surface as necessary. Its smooth textured surface provides the highest gain of all front projection screen surfaces with no resolution loss.

Hitachi is also proud to announce Scalable Display Technologies as its newest addition to the Certified Solutions Program. At InfoComm, the Hitachi booth will feature the CP-A100 3LCD ultra-short-throw projector and CP-SX12000 3LCD large-venue projector, both calibrated by Scalable Display Technologies’ EasyBlend™. Scalable Technologies EasyBlend is a software-only solution for automatically calibrating color, intensity and geometry of images projected on screens of various shapes and sizes.

EasyBlend can be used to create seamless multi-projector arrays of unlimited size and shape, creating images that are large, high resolution and very bright. Scalable Display’s software automatically generates a perfect seamless edge-blend display every time. EasyBlend uses a patented camera-generated feedback system to calculate pixel perfect instructions, or warp meshes. This purely digital approach enables display systems that cannot be engineered by conventional means, either mechanically or optically. EasyBlend uses camera feedback of an image array to correct for image warping, correct color, and blend images. This entirely digital, scalable technology produces displays that are bright, high resolution, portable and self-calibrating.

Additionally, CSP member D&D Security has recently introduced its new Data Projector Security Kit, designed specifically to integrate with the new data projector security bar. The kit features a 6-foot black security cable that integrates perfectly with the new security bar found on all Hitachi projectors, and includes a30 mm heavy-duty padlock (keyed-alike in groups).
