Epson’s Brightest Projector Ever Breaks The Performance Barrier for Large Venues

Powerlite Pro Z8000WUNL Projector Delivers 6,000 Lumens, WUXGA Resolution for Outstanding Image Quality and Value

ORLANDO, Fla. (InfoComm, Booth 4127) – June 17, 2009 – At InfoComm 2009, Epson, the number-one selling projector brand worldwide , unveiled the PowerLite Pro Z8000WUNL, a new flagship multimedia projector in its PowerLite Pro line designed for auditoriums and large venues. The PowerLite Pro Z8000WUNL is the first high-definition, high-bright WUXGA projector (1920 x 1200 native resolution) to use industry-leading Epson 3LCD technology, creating an incredibly powerful projector at an affordable price. The PowerLite Pro Z8000WUNL is also Epson’s brightest projector to date, delivering 6,000 lumens color light output and 6,000 lumens white light output (ISO 21118).

“The PowerLite Pro Z8000WUNL is the latest projector to join our long and ever-expanding line of industry-firsts from Epson,? said Edgar Jimenez, associate product manager, business projectors, Epson America. “Just as impressive, this projector is an extremely versatile and affordable WUXGA solution for auditorium venues that doesn’t compromise on image quality – especially brightness and color performance.?

Designed for large venue applications in education, corporations and houses of worship, the PowerLite Pro Z8000WUNL offers 5000:1 contrast ratio, an innovative liquid cooling system, durable optical panels, and a dual-lamp design that further enhance its outstanding image quality, performance and reliability. The projector also comes equipped with several unique features and benefits that are designed to make maintenance easier and less frequent, including easy access to lamps and filters, as well as a recommended 10,000-hour filter cleaning schedule.3 In addition, the new model features Epson’s high-aperture 3-chip 3LCD technology for more intense and sharper images.

The PowerLite Pro Z8000WUNL offers a revolutionary design with flexible installation features and customized lens options that contribute to an exceptional level of performance that installers have not seen from a 3LCD large venue solution to date. The projector includes a centered lens design for easy installation, and can be installed +/- 30-degrees off-axis horizontally and +/- 10-degrees off-axis vertically. Installers can choose from six optional lenses, including a rear-projection option, to customize a solution to fit even the most challenging mid to large venue installation. Additional benefits include easy integration with other devices, LAN connectivity, a built-in closed captioning decoder, plus the latest in monitoring and control capabilities via Epson’s included software solution.

Epson also offers the Brighter Futures® program, a unique sales and support initiative that is available specifically for schools. Designed to help educators select and implement the best products for their classrooms while making the most of their budgets, Brighter Futures offers special pricing, dedicated education account managers, and toll-free technical support for all Epson projectors.
