DIGITAL PROJECTION LAUNCHES THE M-VISION 1080P-LED

mvision_led.jpgATLANTA, GA (June 30, 2009) – Digital Projection International (DPI), an Emmy® Award-winning manufacturer of high-performance projection systems, announced the brand-new M-Vision 1080p-LED at InfoComm 2009 in Orlando, Florida. The new M-Vision delivers 3-chip color saturation with the imaging fidelity of Texas Instruments’ DLPâ„¢ technology. The single chip, single lamp M-Vision adds another affordable and efficient 1920 x 1080 display to DPI’s already extensive single chip product line.

The M-Vision 1080p-LED produces up to 800 lumens and either 10,000:1 contrast w/ dynamic black or 2,000:1 in full black, full white mode. A quiet, compact chassis, the M-Vision 1080p-LED presents a powerful yet remarkably affordable solution for a variety of commercial and home entertainment applications. Ideal M-Vision venues include viewing spaces with controlled ambient light needing the rich color saturation and vivid contrast of a 3-chip display in a small, affordable chassis. As the M-Vision LED contains no lamp, applications utilizing the new display will benefit from their 60,000+ hour lifespan and lack of color degradation.

Installation is incredibly flexible due to the M-Vision’s compact and lightweight chassis design, and extraordinary lens shift range of 30% horizontal and 120% vertical. Multiple lens options provide further flexibility, with a throw range from 1.25 to 3.0:1. Connectivity includes two HDMI inputs, as well as RGB via D-15, component, composite and S-Video inputs.

Chuck Collins, DPI’s Vice President of Commercial AV commented, “The new M-Vision LED provides an incredible new opportunity for custom integrators and installers. As the original 3-chip DLP™ pioneer, DPI is excited to bring an LED display to the industry that lives up to our rigorous imaging expectations. The new display’s color saturation is phenomenal, and the long-life of the 1080p-LED introduce an excellent application option that has yet to be fully addressed in our industry. Furthermore, the 1080p resolution, integrated electronics and straightforward user interface make the M-Vision LED a viable solution for installations where simplicity and imaging quality are paramount.

When comparing the extensive resolution options and custom color wheel configurations available, DPI offers an extraordinary array of over 40 installation-grade single-chip projectors, as well as over 30 powerful 3-chip DLP® displays.
