SoundTube Brings 16 New Products to InfoComm 2009
Park City, Utah – SoundTube Entertainment, the leading manufacturer of high-performance commercial sound systems, introduced 16 new products at InfoComm 2009.
Offering superior room coverage with ultra-easy mounting and aiming, the SM8 Series adds 8� surface mount speakers to the SoundTube SMi series. These speakers offer high SPL with high efficiency and offer unique mounting options that make installation and aiming fast and easy. Three speakers in this series were introduced at InfoComm:
• SM890i, with an 8� (203 mm) treated fiber woofer and a high-power horn-loaded compression driver, featuring SoundTube’s BroadBeamHP® coverage technology;
• SM800i, featuring SoundTube’s patented BroadBeam® waveguide; includes an 8� flat woofer, a concentric 1� (25 mm) convex aluminum tweeter and 8� passive radiator;
• SM82-EZ, an economy model comprising an 8� polypropylene woofer and an offset 1� aluminum dome tweeter with waveguide.
Proving that a small size can yield big results, the new 31-EZ Series includes surface-mount, ceiling-mount and in-wall 3� speakers. These high fidelity micro modules offer outstanding performance with simple mounting and high power handling. The series includes:
• SM31-EZ, a surface-mount, 3� (76 mm), full-range single-cone speaker offering precision aiming up to 180 degrees in any direction;
• IW31-EZ, an in-wall, 3� full-range single-cone speaker;
• CM31-EZ, an in-ceiling, 3� full-range single-cone speaker.
A new line designed specifically for background music applications where additional low end response is needed, the CM-EZ-BGM series offers integrators reduced amplification costs with easy installation. Three speakers in this series were introduced:
• CM82-BGM, a ceiling-mount, 8� (203 mm), two-way background music speaker with ported enclosure;
• CM62-BGM, a ceiling-mount, 6� (152 mm), two-way speaker with ported enclosure;
• CM42s-BGM, a ceiling-mount, 4� (102 mm) two-way speaker with ported short can enclosure.
SoundTube’s Focused-Point speakers, the FP6020-II and FP6030-II, are now available with four optional factory-installed modules to enhance personalized listening in retail, museum, restaurant and other applications:
• FP Motion Module, which senses motion beneath the speaker dome and activates the audio source and other devices;
• FP Light Module, which incorporates an LED with user adjustable dimmer into the FP dome;
• FP Amp Module, a small 20 watts-per-channel amplifier with integrated Micro SD card slot;
• FP Scent Air Module, which enables users to deliver targeted Scent Air™ scents along with sound.
Outdoor “rock� speakers have been brought to a new level with SoundTube’s XT-RockSolid™ speakers. These speakers are hollow polyurethane shells driven by SolidDrive® actuators; unlike other rock speakers, RockSolid units offer full omnidirectional coverage and superior resistance to environmental degradation. Each RockSolid speaker is hand-painted for a natural appearance; XT-RockSolid units include a transformer and anti-theft anchoring. Two XT-RockSolid models are available, each in three colors.
A new subwoofer, the SM1001p, was also unveiled at InfoComm. The SM1001p is a 10� powered subwoofer in a trapezoidal enclosure. It offers multiple mounting options including floor-mount, wall-mount and suspended.
Rounding out SoundTube’s InfoComm introductions is a new small amplifier, the SA202. This unit provides two channels with 20 watts per channel, Euroblock speaker connectors and power input connectors for easy installation, dual RCA and stereo mini jack inputs, full range/high pass filter selector switch, and volume control. Models are available with and without power supply.
