Atlona Technologies Begins Production on Plenum Rated DVI Dual Link Cables and HDMI 1.3 Cable
SAN JOSE — July 10, 2009— Atlona Technologies announced in early 2008 its intent to produce the world’s first and only plenum digital cable in HDMI and DVI-DL type connectors. After many hours and redesigns, Underwriters Laboratories has issued a UL file number to Atlona technologies for communication cables including the worlds first and only plenum digital video cable.
With their newly issued UL file number covering the type CMP, a standard higher than the required CL2P and CL3P for plenum cabling, the company has begun production on the first batch of DVI dual link and HDMI 1.3 cables which will be available in lengths ranging from 2m (6.6ft) to 20m (66 ft). The company expects high volumes to be sold into the commercial and government construction markets.
Atlona Technologies has been a leader among Audio Video connectivity products for over 5 years. The company’s motto of manufacturing “anything and everything between a source and a display has made them a one-stop-shop from many commercial installers and Government purchasers. The company hopes to gain even more of a market share with this unique and necessary cable design.
