A virtual press conference from Sound & Video Contractor

PHOENIX, ARIZ., July 14, 2009 –Plura Broadcast, a leading manufacturer of high-end professional LCD monitors for studio and field use, has hired industry veteran Van Duke to serve as national business development manager and Leslie Brock as West Coast sales manager.

A former broadcast engineer, Duke has worked in professional broadcast sales for 15 years, most recently with file-based playout manufacturers. In previous positions, he helped design the in-house and outside broadcast applications for the Ryder Basketball Arena at the University of Miami, as well as video production facilities for the Miami-Dade County Emergency Operation Center. Brock is relatively new to the broadcast industry, after spending several years as a mortgage loan consultant and sales rep for a publication company in Southern Nevada.

“Every company needs leadership in the sales department, and Plura Broadcast is pleased to welcome two strong leaders to our team,? said Ray Kalo, Plura president and CEO. “Van has a solid track record in sales, but also has the engineering background to really understand what our customers need. And Leslie’s customer-oriented approach has quickly helped us build relationships with dealers and integrators.?

“The professional video market is in need of high-end, cost effective LCD monitors, and Plura is positioned for growth,? said Duke. “We have high quality products that are affordable and assembled in the U.S.A.?

Van Duke was hired in June and is based in Plura’s Atlanta office. He can be reached at (404) 380-1900 or vduke@plurabroadcast.com. Leslie Brock was hired in May and works out of Plura’s West Coast office in Phoenix. Contact her at (702) 292-9269 or lbrock@plurabroadcast.com.
