SYMETRIX TO DISTRIBUTE AXIOMTEK TOUCH SCREEN PC FOR USE WITH SYMVUE

symvue_axiomtek.JPGSEATTLE, WASHINGTON – JULY 2009: Symetrix, a leading provider of audio processing solutions for the commercial, broadcast, and pro audio markets, has signed an agreement with Axiomtek to distribute the GOT-5100T-830 touch screen PC in the United States for use with SymNet’s groundbreaking SymVue real-time user interface technology. Although SymVue works simply and reliably with any PC or tablet running Windows Vista or XP, integrators will benefit from the new agreement with Axiomtek in two ways. First, ordering the touch screen PC right along with the SymNet equipment that it will operate makes life a little bit easier for busy integrators. Second, and perhaps more importantly, it takes the guesswork out of finding the ideal unit for most SymVue applications. The GOT-5100T-830 has been thoroughly vetted by Symetrix and deemed ideal for most audio installations. This agreement applies only to distribution in the US.

The Axiomtek GOT-5100T-830 features a 10.4-inch SVGA (800×600) color TFT LCD display. End users will appreciate its fanless cooling system, which nevertheless supports a powerful 1.6 GHz Intel(r) Atom(tm) N270 processor. A waterproof touch screen, rated IP65, ensures bulletproof, or at least splash-proof, operation. Finally, the GOT-5100T-830′s lightweight (3.5 lbs.), thin profile (1.73 inches), and multiple mounting options (panel, wall, or VESA) make it easy to situate in any scenario.

SymVue is one of the newest features of SymNet Designer 9.0 software and works seamlessly with SymNet open-architecture DSP units. Integrators build the SymVue interface from within SymNet Designer using customizable graphic objects and/or imported picture files. Once the system is up-and-running, SymVue controls its operation in real-time and does not depend on SymNet Designer. All interfaces within a SymNet system are continuously updated so that changes made at one interface are immediately reflected at all the others.

“Integrators are excited to use SymVue technology, and we are happy to offer a touch panel PC that works perfectly with it,” said Paul Roberts, Symetrix director of sales and marketing. “The GOT-5100T-830 has a feature set that is ideal for use in many of the external control applications for which SymVue was designed.”
