BURBANK, CA (July 22, 2009) – SmartAVI, Inc., a world-leading innovator in the fields of digital content creation, management and delivery solutions through hardware and software, today unveiled the first product in its new line of fiber optics extension solutions, the FX-HDPro.

The FX-HDPro is the first product in SmartAVI’s exciting new line of FiberXtend A/V solutions for home and professional use. Using the FX-HDPro, it is possible to extend high-definition video (1080p for HDMI and 1920×1200 for DVI), audio, infrared and RS-232 signals up to 1,200 feet. This gives system architects great flexibility and range when laying out a multimedia system, whether for home theater or professional digital signage deployments.

“FX-HDPro is the first product we’ve unveiled from our new FiberXtend family,? said Albert Cohen, President and CEO of SmartAVI, Inc. “This marks the launch of not only an exciting new line of audio/video fiber optics solutions from SmartAVI, but rather, a critical and necessary new product family, as the technology and multimedia sectors have dictated in recent trends and system upgrades. With the use of fiber optics, it is now possible to send A/V signals further than ever before using single, fishing line-thin cables. Our FiberXtend family of products addresses the needs of our clients head-on and has been aggressively-priced to be the hands-down choice of consumers looking for uncompromised quality and cost-effectiveness in this challenging economic climate world-wide.?

SmartAVI’s FX-HDPro is a dynamic and powerful solution for system designers looking to be unhampered by unsightly cables or more importantly, restricted distances of “traditional? cabling. Fiber optics extension is perfect for high-end home theater entertainment systems where components are located in a different room from the display screen, theme park queues utilizing digital signage, airports and restaurants, resorts and casinos. Wherever digital signage is in use or content is displayed on screens for customers/consumers, fiber optics is the common method of choice for delivering crisp, perfect signals from source components at great distances seamlessly and easily.

The suggested retail price for SmartAVI’s FX-HDPro is $1,499.00.

In addition to the standard FiberXtend products, SmartAVI has also begun manufacturing a “Premium? category of fiber extension products that will compliment the current line while taking the quality and extension lengths to the industrial level.
