HaiVision Partners With Audio Video Sistemas to Bring HD H.264 Technology to Latin American Markets

MONTREAL and CHICAGO — July 30, 2009 — HaiVision Network Video, the world’s leading vendor of high definition H.264 encoders, codecs, and IP video systems, today announced that Buenos Aires-based Audio Video Sistemas (AVS) is serving as the company’s dealer for customers in Latin American markets. From its headquarters in Argentina and a second office in Miami, AVS provides sales, service, and support for the full HaiVision product line.

“In our work with clients in broadcast, production, and content distribution, we’ve tried to be a pioneer in introducing new technologies that further their business goals,” said Alejandro Perelman, director of technology at AVS. “In the last few months we have worked on broadcast contribution projects based on IP networks, and we found that HaiVision’s products combine the highest quality video, stability, and ease of use at a very attractive price point. For projects where other products didn’t fit because the cost/performance ratio was not adequate, we found the ideal product for each case in HaiVision’s line, and we are confident in the company’s continued ability to respond to our clients’ needs in today’s dynamic market.”

AVS is dedicated to the design, integration, and installation of professional audio and video solutions with emphasis on IP and satellite networks. Working with several major broadcasters and telcos in South America, AVS has already completed a number of successful installations leveraging HaiVision’s high-performance HD H.264 encoding products for real-time video delivery.

“We’re very pleased to be working with AVS, a proven leader in providing advanced video systems to leading broadcast networks, cable and IPTV operators, telcos, and production houses across the Latin American market,” said Mirko Wicha, president and CEO of HaiVision Network Video. “Through both reputation and location, the company is well-positioned to provide customers with advanced HaiVision encoding products, backed by technical expertise and excellent support.”
