BUENA PARK, Calif.⎯Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. has appointed Kevin Kimmel to the position of mixer product manager, effective July 20. In his new position, Kimmel will be responsible for product training, the implementation of marketing and support programs, and recommendations for mixing console product design from the North American market to the research and development team in Japan. He will report to Marc Lopez, marketing manager, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc.

For three decades, Kimmel has been an audio mixer, system designer, recording engineer, and most recently held the position of Assistant Technical Director at Disneyland. He was also monitor engineer for Tower of Power’s “Soul Vaccination Tourâ€? and was the front of house engineer for Luis Miguel’s “Aries” and “Segundo Romance” world tours.
