Antennas Direct Named to Inc 5000 List Second Year in Row

Antenna manufacturer’s powerful antennas for DTV have lead to growth

Aug. 14, 2009: ST. LOUIS, Mo. – St. Louis-based antenna manufacturer Antennas Direct made the Inc. 5000 list for a second year in a row, earning the rank of 746 on the 2009 list in Inc. magazine. The Inc. 5000 celebrates the fastest-growing private companies in America. Companies were ranked based on revenue growth between 2005 and 2008. Antennas Direct’s revenue growth during that time was 389 percent.

Antennas Direct has been providing millions of frustrated TV consumers the best over-the-air DTV reception with its advanced antennas during the nation’s conversion to digital television. The company has experienced astounding growth because of its ability to meet consumer demand for small, sleek and strong antennas that give them the ability to receive a higher number of sharp DTV channels for free.

“Our new antenna designs have been popular on the sales floor of retailers around the country,? said company founder and President Richard Schneider. “People have been frustrated with the channels they have lost after the DTV switch. They have tried many brands but find success with our antennas because they are engineered specifically for DTV frequencies.?

Building on its success, the company’s latest VHF model antenna, the ClearStream 5, which is a stronger and smaller version of traditional VHF antennas, are becoming a popular antenna for troubled VHF markets.

“The compromised design and large size of combination VHF/UHF antennas make them a unappealing option in troubled VHF markets,? Schneider said. “We decided to build a new, incredibly small and extremely powerful VHF antenna for DTV. The size and strength of our ClearStream 5s are expected to boost sales even further. As more consumers become aware of the quality of our antennas and as we continue our commitment to our customers’ needs, we expect our growth to continue well into the future.?
