BTX Adopts InfoComm International’s EZip Electronic Price Sheet Format to Better Serve Dealers
HAWTHORNE, N.Y. ― Aug. 27, 2009 ― BTX Technologies, a global value-added distributor and manufacturer of interface and integration products, today announced that it has adopted InfoComm International’s EZip electronic price sheet format to streamline the process of transferring product and pricing information to its dealers.
Manually inputting electronic pricing can lead to clerical errors that increase labor costs and cause delivery delays. As the first industry-driven standard format for product data, EZip allows manufacturers and dealers to list their data uniformly and share it quickly and efficiently. The format streamlines data entry and makes it easy to transfer product and pricing information in Excel format between various computer systems, eliminating errors and saving time.
Developed by the InfoComm Manufacturers Council and the Systems Integration Leadership Council (SILC), EZip enables dealers to utilize a standardized format to merge pricing from various manufacturers into one master document easily and in a consistent manner, as well as to edit and reformat the list to their particular tastes.
BTX will be offering the EZip electronic dealer price sheet format by request only at info@btx.com. Non-EZip-formatted price sheets will also remain available.
