) today announced an agreement with Herman Procurement & Logistics to be a distributor for Cables To Go products throughout the United States. Herman will be distributing the Cables To Go award-winning RapidRun™ modular cabling system as well as the full line of Cables To Go audio/video products.

Herman is one of the nation’s leading providers of connectivity and infrastructure products and services to the commercial AV and broadcast industries. In addition to being a nationally-known distributor, Herman has leveraged its 45 years in industry experience to help customers improve operational efficiencies and achieve cost savings related to the procurement and management of project materials

“With its RapidRun system and Cat 5 solutions, Cables To Go has some unique and innovative offerings that will help us attract new business and increase our value offering to our customers,? said Jeffrey Wolf, executive vice president for Herman. “It’s an easy decision when we can provide quality products backed by great customer service that allow our customers to save time and money in both the installation and the ability to easily upgrade the system.?

The RapidRun system, which Herman will now be selling, supports multiple signals over a single cable. In order to upgrade or change equipment, users only need to change the cable terminal, known as the break-away flying lead or break-away wall plate. This saves installation time, accommodates last minute changes, reduces the likelihood of faulty terminations and evolves with different system needs.

Bill Diederich, president of Lastar, parent company of Cables To Go, said, “The partnership with Herman brings us even greater recognition in many of the same markets where we are seeing rapid growth. They support many of the nation’s largest integrators, which also helps us increase our exposure.?
