PPC® Launches Perfect Path(TM), a Complete Connectivity Solution for the Retail and Custom Installation A/V Markets
ATLANTA — Sept. 11, 2009 — At CEDIA EXPO 2009 today, PPC® launched its Perfect Path(TM) line of products, which for the first time brings to custom installers and retail A/V customers the company’s cutting-edge, easy-to-use, professional-quality connector technology. In addition to these technologies which are used by cable systems and satellite networks around the world, the Perfect Path lineup will include a new line of audio/video interconnect cables with true locking HDMI and RCA connectors, and bulk cable solutions for in-wall wiring.
Perfect Path provides connection to the ultimate HD experience by being the only manufacturer that can provide connectivity down the entire signal path from the service provider and into the home to the back of an HD display device. This, coupled with PPC’s years of experience working with the cable and satellite industries, reducing truck rolls and operational costs for installers and allowing flawless performance for their customers, provides a perfect solution for CEDIA integrators.
Making its debut at CEDIA EXPO is the initial product launch of the Perfect Path family including the new second generation of locking HDMI cable with PPC’s PerfectLock(TM) HDMI and RCA Connectors. These connectors do not require product modification, magnets, or set screws, and feature an innovative built-in mechanism to lock the connector automatically into the port at more than 25 pounds of retention. This is over 10 times the strength of conventional connectors, supporting continuous maximum sound and picture quality while reducing cable fall-out headaches and service calls for installers and consumers. In addition, a full line of professional-quality bulk cables for in-wall installations will be announced, including Cat 5e, Cat 6, speaker cable, mini coax, and more. These new products, coupled with the PPC line of compression connectors and tools, make Perfect Path a truly complete connectivity solution.
“With more than 60 years in the connector business, PPC now brings its wealth of experience and accumulated expertise to the retail and custom installation markets, providing consumers for the first time with the same cable and connector advantages enjoyed by the pros,” said PPC President John Mezzalingua.
The Perfect Path brand is headed by Eric Bodley, vice president and general manager of consumer electronics, who joined PPC in July 2009. “As most professionals in the industry know, approaching products with high-quality engineering and innovative ideas is essential,” said Bodley. “PPC has a proven history of doing just that, and it has culminated in the Perfect Path line. I am excited to bring my industry experience as a retailer, integrator, and manufacturer to the building of this brand, and look forward to introducing it to the market in our CEDIA booth.”
The company will be holding a press conference at CEDIA EXPO 2009 on Friday, Sept. 11, at 12:00 p.m. in booth 6325.
